Description
The Pomham Rocks Lighthouse is located in East Providence, Rhode Island. It was built in 1871 and deactivated in 1974. In 1980, the light was bought by the Mobil Oil Company. A restoration of the light was complete in 2006 and in 2010, Exxon Mobil donated the light to Friends of the Pomham Rocks Lighthouse. This is on the National Register of Historic Places (NRIS #79000001).
