The school was constructed circa 1925 and is constructed of concrete, brick, asphalt, and metal. It was built in the Classical Revival architectural style. The architect was A. Ten Eyke Brown, one of the most notable architects of public buildings in Atlanta in the first third of the 20th century. The builders were Lockwood & Poundstone.
