Description
Chatham Academy, Savannah, Ga.
Chatham Academy, is a private school for kids with learning disabilities. Chatham Academy is an accredited specialized day school for children in grades one through twelve with specific learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders. The full day school program is designed to take learning disabled students struggling in "mainstream" classes and teach them how to compensate. Typically, students attend the academy for two or three years before going back to traditional school. Sometimes, a student may attend the academy until graduation or return if they need to. All of the children can learn. They just learn differently.
Royce Learning Center was founded by Savannah parents and professionals in 1970 to provide testing, tutoring and education to children with learning disabilities. In 1995 it merged with Chatham Academy.
