Description
Former Citrus County Courthouse cupola located in Inverness, Florida. This is a copper cupola with a clock face on each of the four sides, topped with a belvedere with miniature columns. It was built in 1912 with elements of Neo-Classical, Italian Renaissance, Prairie School and Mission styles. Since 2000, the historic courthouse is the headquarters for the Citrus County Historical Society and Old Courthouse Heritage Museum. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places (NRIS #92000340).
