The Florida State University (commonly referred to as Florida State or FSU) is an American public space-grant and sea-grant research university. Florida State University has a nationally recognized honors program. Admission into the University Honors Program is by invitation only.
The Honors program offers students housing in Landis Hall and Gilchrist Hall. Landis Hall was named for Cary D Landis. Landis Hall is the traditional home of Honors students since 1955, which is situated on Landis Green at the heart of FSU's main campus. Recently underwent an $18 million renovation. It is a suite-style hall located in the middle of the campus.
