Instruction Request Podcast – Episode 29 Education Resources & RefWorks Tutorial

In this episode, Lauren Odom (Instruction Librarian) and Beryl White-Bing (Virtual Learning Librarian) explore education research tools available through the University of North Florida’s Thomas G. Carpenter Library.

Special guest Danny Feinberg, Online Learning Librarian and liaison to the Silverfield College of Education and Human Services, provides a live demonstration of RefWorks citation management software.

You’ll learn how to:

• Organize research using folders and subfolders • Import citations directly from library databases • Store and annotate PDFs inside RefWorks • Share research folders with classmates or faculty • Switch between APA, MLA, and Chicago citation styles • Insert citations into Microsoft Word and Google Docs • Automatically generate bibliographies

We also highlight education research databases including:

• ERIC • Education Week • The Chronicle of Higher Education • Education Source

Plus: Research Prize reminders, Open Office Hours, and upcoming Virtual Learning Center programming.

RefWorks is available free to UNF students and faculty through the library website.

Need help with research or citations? Schedule a research consultation or attend Library Open Office Hours.
