Using AI Tools to Encourage Critical & Engaged Reading
Description
Today’s students seem less prepared and practiced at long-form, careful reading. This was already a trend before the pandemic but became even worse afterwards. Along with a lack of reading skills, many students have difficulty contextualizing and synthesizing information. AI tools may exacerbate this situation. In this workshop we will explore various methods (both traditional and using AI) to encourage critical and engaged reading.
