The M.M.Bethune Home and Gravesite is the former home of one of the city's most prominent civil rights leader, educator and founder of Bethune-Cookman University, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune. The house is well preserved & It also is the gravesite of Mrs. Bethune. In 1975, the National Park Service gave the Foundation its National Historic Landmark designation.
