Description
The Newport Harbor Lighthouse is located on the north end of Goat Island in Newport, Rhode Island. This lighthouse which is also known as the Goat Island Light or the Green Light was built in 1842. The 35 foot granite tower was automated in 1963. It is on the National Register of Historic Places (#88000276).
