Description
The Highland Lighthouse is located in North Truro, Massachusetts. The current brick structure was built in 1857. The light was automated in 1987. Due to beach erosion, the building was moved 450 feet inland in 1996. Previously this was known as the Cape Cod Light. It is a part of the Truro Highlands Historic District and on the National Register of Historic Places (NRIS #87001463).
